skillforkids.com was started by founder Sean Fyfe in 2010. The website is committed to providing parents, grandparents, caregivers, teachers and coaches with the knowledge to successfully nurture the skill development of children all around the world. It provides users with access to an extensive amount of information and instructions to help children develop skills from a very young age. The aim is to present what can be complex information that people could find daunting, in a practical and easy to understand format.
Welcome to skillforkids.com
The website has been developed in response to the declining physical activity levels of children, the associated health problems such as childhood obesity and a greater understanding of what physical activity and sports participation does for human beings from a physical, psychological and social perspective. Children are never too young to benefit and learn from age appropriate play experiences and will continue to be interested in sport as long as they feel confident in their capabilities and are being challenged.
skillforkids.com aims to be a vehicle through which the lives of young people are positively impacted. Our key goals are to:
- Have a positive effect on the health and wellbeing of communities through a proactive approach to the physical and psychological development of children
- Have a major impact on the sporting expertise and sporting participation of children
- Have a major impact on the mindset of parents, caregivers, teachers and coaches in their approach to the skill development of kids
