It is a well known fact that regular physical activity greatly reduces morbidity and mortality rates of chronic diseases. But how does childhood physical activity alter the chances of suffering from these risk factors later in life. It has been suggested by a variety of sources including the World Health Organization that regular physical activity in childhood can greatly decrease the chances of suffering cardiovascular risk factors in early adulthood and later into adulthood.
