The aim of this article is to draw attention to some very clear and important relationships with regard to exercise and the ability of children (and adults for that matter) to problem solve. It is universally accepted that a big part of learning and academic improvement is the ability to solve problems. Whether a complex maths question, scientific reasoning or structuring an essay, children need to solve problems. Problem solving skills are unquestionably a key ingredient to success in life.
