  • Visual perception is the ability to interpret information delivered by the eyes
  • Babies', toddlers' and young kids' visual perception develops with experiences so they can produce increasingly accurate movements
  • Individuals are capable of attaining advanced visual perception skills with play and practice

Visual perception skills allow us to move around and interact with our environment. It is this perceptual skill that humans rely on most. Babies have very immature visual perception skills but this quickly develops with experiences to allow them to understand their environment and produce accurate movements. Advanced visual perception skills are an essential ingredient of skill based sports.
