It can be helpful to frequently get in touch with what you most value as a parent. While the motivation to act in ways that nurture your child’s best interests is not an issue for the majority of parents, it can still be challenging to act in ways that align with your values when faced with parenting challenges. These are the times it can be helpful to recognize your values. Let’s clarify what we mean by values and discuss a few simple but challenging exercises that you can do if you wish.
